Nationwide current account interest rates 'not the only perks'

There are a whole host of perks to be enjoyed by Nationwide FlexAccount customers aged between 16 and 24, the firm has revealed.

A new website - FlexZone.co.uk - has been launched and will gift a significant number of "lifestyle benefits" for customers in this age group.

Among the discounts available to them are discounts on mp3 downloads, money-off coupons for holidays and £1 rental on all DVDs, Blu-rays and games from Blockbuster on Wednesdays.

Graham Pilkington, divisional director of banking at Nationwide, highlighted how many people are able to take advantage of these benefits.

He remarked: "There are an estimated eight million people aged 16 to 24 in the UK, of which approximately half are not in full-time education."

The site appears to be especially good for those who are into phones, since customers can get £70 cashback on a Vodafone 24-month contract and ten per cent off pay-as-you-go handsets.

For movie enthusiasts there is also a month of free cinema at Cineworld, if individuals sign up to an unlimited access pass.
