Withernsea, Hornsea and Bridlington were said to offer very good value and a good quality of life at the same time.
Halifax stated that this shows there are affordable areas along the English coast where buyers do not have to compromise on their standard of living.
This contrasts sharply with the state of affairs further south, as places in counties such as East Sussex that offer a good quality of life have "house prices to match".
Nitesh Patel, housing economist at Halifax, commented: "A breath of fresh air coupled with great scenery has strong appeal for homeowners."
Other good value locations that have a high standard of living were located north of the border.
Peterhead and Fraserburgh were flagged up as two places in Scotland where buyers could get a seaside property without paying a "hefty price tag".
This comes after Halifax noted that between 2000 and 2009, the top ten towns that saw the highest rate of house price inflation were either on or near to the coast.
