Fixed rate savings bonds provider M&G lauds new product

Investors looking for a competitive return on their capital should consider a new product from M&G, a representative from the firm has claimed.

Jim Leaviss, head of the company's retail fixed interest team, explained that the M&G UK Inflation Linked Corporate Bond Fund allows people to stop worrying about inflationary concerns.

It aims to deliver above the rate of inflation over the medium to long term and is available from September 16th 2010.

Mr Leaviss said: "We believe that we will continue to be in a disinflationary environment for some time and interest rates will remain low."

He described the financial tool as the "corporate bond equivalent of an index-linked gilt fund" and suggested it should protect people's income over time.

This week, M&G announced that Stefan Isaacs will be taking over control of the M&G High Yield Corporate Bond Fund from Mr Leaviss, so that the latter expert can spend more time focusing on the M&G UK Inflation Linked Corporate Bond Fund.
