High level of debt relief required in Miliband's constituency, says R3

New Labour leader Ed Miliband's constituency has high level of personal insolvencies, according R3, which has issued a note of caution about the upcoming public sector cuts.

President of the organisation Stephen Law made his comments after a map of the worst-hit areas of the country - in terms of personal insolvencies - was released.

He suggested that public sector cuts could have a real impact across the whole country, but noted that areas in the north-east tend to feature highly in current statistics.

One of those is Doncaster, which is Ed Miliband's constituency and places at number 17 in the list.

"Our research also shows that 42 per cent of the British population are currently finding it a struggle financially to get through the month," added Mr Law.

Last week, R3 published a study that showed Londoners are the most likely to be worried about their level of debt in the UK.
