Santander urges people to switch current account interest rates

People should not be scared of switching their current accounts, according to a representative from Santander.

Gillian Almond, head of current accounts at the firm, explained the company has received plenty of great feedback from customers who moved their cash over to Santander.

The financial institution is currently offering people £100 to switch, while Ms Almond highlighted how an extra 300 branches of the brand will be hitting UK high streets by the end of the month.

"Customers shouldn't be afraid of switching their current account as we have a dedicated Account Transfer Service to make the whole process hassle free," she added.

People will find so many new stores due to the rebranding of Alliance & Leicester branches.

The first outlet to get the treatment was the Horsefair space in Leicester city centre, which was unveiled on Monday (November 1st).

By the end of the month, there will be more than 1,300 branches of Santander in the UK.
