Savings accounts provider Lloyds TSB launches social media scheme

A new social media campaign has been unveiled by Lloyds TSB and a representative from the company has lauded its efforts in this area.

Catherine Kehoe, marketing director at the brand, made her remarks after the launch of Lloyds TSB Me, which allows users to create an avatar of themselves and enter a competition to feature in future advertising drives.

"Our latest initiative is a fun way to bring the brand to life and create another dimension to Lloyds TSB," said Ms Kehoe.

She highlighted how the move is the latest in a string of social media activities that the firm has been involved with, with customers already able to contact the organisation on Twitter and view content on its YouTube channel.

Lloyds TSB stated that it is urging consumers to use the Me programme on its website to make characters that look like friends or family members.

The system can also be found on Facebook and already has more than 15,000 'likes' from users of the social network.
