Santander bonus current account interest rates offer expires soon

Current account provider Santander has highlighted how people can cheer themselves up from the grim weather conditions by taking advantage of a promotion before December 12th 2010.

Gillian Almond, head of current accounts at the brand, made her remarks about a special offer that gives people £100 cashback and five per cent in-credit interest if they switch to Santander.

"Even with the bad weather you can still take advantage of the £100 and feel a little bit of joy during this freezing cold weather," she said.

Ms Almond highlighted how the company has a dedicated switching service to carry out the procedure and the promotion is available in-branch, online and on the phone.

Among the products customers can choose from are the Zero, Preferred In-Credit, Premium and Reward accounts.

This week, the firm published research by Datamonitor showing Brits tend to spend more time researching pay-as-you-go mobile phone contracts than current account deals.
