Pensions calculator issues still dominate, says unbiased.co.uk

New figures released by unbiased.co.uk show that pensions continue to be a hot topic on the website, with a source at the firm suggesting it is down to the complexity of the issue.

Karen Barrett, chief executive of the company, made her remarks after it was announced that 37 per cent of customers who searched for an independent financial advisor (IFA) on the site in November wanted help with such long-term savings strategies.

She said: "It is clear that retirement planning remains the most complex area for consumers to navigate, as it continues to be the number one most searched for advice."

In her view, the issue is best approached with the aid of an IFA, since they can look at the whole range of issues open to a consumer and are not restricted to a limited selection.

According to unbiased.co.uk, advisors on its books have been quoted over 4,000 times on online media and other channels of communication.
