Platform hopes to develop its buy to let mortgage presence

Lee Gladwell, business development manager at Platform, explained that the firm's brokers have been telling the organisation there are several cash-rich investors in the market keen to put their money in property.
He noted that such individuals will make the buy to let industry a key area for 2011 and the company hopes to expand its sales in the category.
His comments were made after Platform unveiled a selection of new fixed rate and tracker mortgage deals, with terms varying from one to four years and different fee arrangements also on offer.
Mr Gladwell added: "This year, we plan to further grow our presence through the broker channel and these new products are a sign of our confidence in the intermediary channel."
This week, the National Landlords Association's tenancy referencing facility NLA Tenant Check revealed it will not raise the cost of its services.
