Bradford and Bingley mortgages say buy-to-let buoyant

According Bradford and Bingley's Mortgage Express division around 40 per cent of landlords expect to expand their portfolios in the next six months.
It seems that their confidence is well founded with just a quarter of respondents experiencing void periods since November. This is compared to 29 per cent over the same period one year earlier.
Andrew Moss, product development manager at Mortgage Express, said: "Our survey reveals that landlords' confidence in the buy-to-let market remains strong.
"Low void periods, consistent demand for rental properties and the belief that rent levels will stay the same or will increase has meant many are now planning to expand their portfolios within the next few months."
According to Mr Moss the Northeast, Midlands and foreign properties are all becoming increasingly popular locations for buy-to-let buyers.
