Skipton launches new range of buy-to-let mortgages

The mortgage lender has launched sets of two and three-year fixed rate deals offering potential buyers up to 70 per cent loan to value.
Applying for the mortgages will now be easier as the building society has introduced a simplified process.
Head of products at Skipton Building Society Kris Brewster acknowledged an increase in demand for buy-to-let mortgages in recent months.
He said the rise in interest has helped the lender to "gain further insight into the current buy-to-let marketplace and the kind of things potential borrowers are looking for, enabling us to further enhance our range with this new set of highly competitive products".
The building society recently launched a highly competitive new low-deposit two-year fixed rate mortgage at 5.99 per cent interest.
Re-mortgage customers are entitled to free valuation and legal fees as part of the mortgage deal.
