First Direct launches flexible mortgage deals

The company's mortgage arm has announced plans to alter the structure of its range to make it simpler for borrowers to select their ideal product.
As part of the changes, individuals will be able to choose from standard, free fee and limited edition offers, which aim to cater to the needs of all buyers.
Customers will be given increased choice through the limited range, which has been created to address their financial situation at the time of application.
Richard Tolchard, the company's senior mortgage product manager, said: "It's clear that customers can sometimes find choosing a mortgage difficult.
"We've organised our range to give customers the flexibility to choose between rate, fee and loan to value depending on their personal circumstances."
First Direct aims to cater to the needs of individuals by offering a wide range of mortgage deals, such as an offset products that customers with an interest only deal.
