Coventry Building Society awarded top marks for mortgage deals

Families using the internet to search for a suitable mortgage deal could be interested in a recent accolade given to Coventry Building Society.

Along with its subsidiary company Godiva Mortgages, the lender was the proud recipient of full marks from FT Adviser for its online services provided for customers.

Acting as an independent measure of financial guidance offered by building societies and other companies, the FT Advertiser awards are voted for by intermediaries.

The company, which is the third largest lender in the UK, was praised for adding value to advisers and their clients through its helpful range of internet services.

Colin Franklin, the company's sales and marketing director, said: "We continually ask brokers how we can develop our services and these awards demonstrate our commitment to meeting their needs."

Investment firm Skandia was on the receiving end of the company of the year prize, along with Zurich - which was given the outstanding achievement accolade.
