Chartered Insurance Institute hosts Discover Risk event

New statistics acquired by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) reveal an increasing number of young people are considering a career in the insurance industry.

Attending the organisation's Discover Risk event at the London School of Economics, 69 per cent of students stated that they would enjoy working in the sector.

As part of the day out, year 11 pupils were given the opportunity to analyse hazards for themselves through the use of an entertaining board game.

Insurance firms Allianz and Willis have previously leant their support to the events, which engage with students in the hope of changing their opinion of the industry.

"We are looking forward to introducing the Discover Risk initiative in more schools when the new academic year starts in September."

This news comes after the CII announced the winners of its annual services awards, which recognise the efforts of members who convey high standards of dedication.
