Rates on Norwich & Peterborough Fixed-Rate Bonds among changes

The interest rate on all Norwich & Peterborough Fixed-Rate Bonds have been increased today and are now set at 4.6 per cent for the six-month option, 4.75 per cent for the one-year option and five per cent for packages from two to five years.

These rates are based on the accumulated interest being received at the time of the deal's maturity rather than on a monthly basis.

Changes were also made to Norwich & Peterborough Mini Cash Isas, which now pay 4.9 per cent interest for one-year products and five per cent for the two and five-year options.

The other announced change pertained to the Norwich & Peterborough Loyalty Bonds, which have new annual rates of 5.1 per cent for a two-year deal and 5.15 per cent for the Children's Loyalty Bond.

A minimum investment of £1,000 is required to open Norwich & Peterborough Fixed-Rate Bonds, which allow withdrawals without notice provided at least £1,000 remains in the account, subject to loss of interest.

The Mini Cash Isa has a maximum investment level of £3,000, while the regular Loyalty Bond and Children's option require a minimum investment of £1,000 and £500 respectively and allow a maximum input level of £25,000.
