Privilege Car Insurance 'will continue beating renewal quotes'

Privilege Car Insurance will continue to beat any renewal quote given to a driver with four year or more no claims discount throughout the summer, the company has claimed today.

Today's announcement that the insurer will continue its offer until August 31st means that Privilege's offer will have been running for two years since its re-launch in August 2004.

More than 11 million drivers in the UK have a no claims discount of four years or more, according to Privilege Car Insurance, but only 55 per cent shop around to ensure that they are receiving the best possible offer.

A collective £1.4 billion in savings on renewals could be being lost by UK drivers, according to Privilege's estimate that an average saving of £127.52 was made by motorists with a minimum four years no claims discount at their last renewal.

The insurer claims that its guarantee to offer a cheaper renewal quote for drivers who have not made a claim for four years or more could offer "significant savings".

Ian Parker, managing director of Privilege Insurance, said: "By designing our policies and prices to meet the needs of safe drivers, Privilege rewards motorists who take care on the roads.

"You don't have to live in a posh area or drive a flash car – all you need is four or more claim-free years and we will guarantee to beat your renewal quote."
