American Express Nectar Credit Card collects points for every pound spent

Customers utilising the American Express Nectar Credit Card will be awarded points every time they spend money on the card, with the organisation pointing out that there are plenty of places to redeem these rewards.

The firm pointed out that it does not matter whether people use their card online or in person, they will constantly be adding to their collection of Nectar points.

Typical APR on the card is 19.9 per cent and customers can gain two points for every £1 spent at Nectar partners, as well as another two points if they use their conventional Nectar card at the same time.

A new deal offered by American Express Nectar Credit Card sees new customers being offered 5,000 bonus points for spending £500 over the first three months of signing up to the arrangement.

Points can be redeemed at many leisure centres such as Alton Towers and retailers like Amazon and Sainsbury's.

American Express recently launched the Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card alongside Starwood Hotels.
