AXA 'aiming to engage with medical insurance customers'

AXA PPP healthcare has revealed that it is trying to makes sure that its medical insurance customers feel valued and supported with the launch of its Dedicated Nurse phone service.

The helpline is available to cancer patients and offers information and guidance to help people through their treatment.

Viv Murray, a spokesperson for the Dedicated Nurse scheme, highlighted the significance of having someone to talk to about we what is going to happen to them.

"We try to emphasise the small but important things that they can do to feel more in control of their situation and not like a passive passenger to whom things are being done," she explained.

The service is free for all UK AXA medical insurance customers and will provide emotional support for cancer-sufferers and their families.

Earlier this year, the PPP healthcare arm of the AXA Group announced that it is donating £20 for every sale of its First Healthcare policy - an insurance product designed for children.
