The new bond, with a guaranteed return of 2.75 per cent gross p.a./2.77 per cent AER, allows consumers to withdraw cash at any time, without incurring any penalties.
Kim Rebecchi, Leeds Building Society sales and marketing director, said that with low rates being predicted in the market until the end of 2010, having a guaranteed rate could be a real help to investors.
She continued to note that the product offers a high rate of return, combined with the flexibility of having unlimited access to funds without the risk of penalties.
In addition, Leeds Building Society has reissued its variable online account, which also allows customers to access their cash at any time, without receiving charges.
Offering a rate of 3.05 per cent, the online account is available to both new and existing customers.
The building society also offers a wide range of mortgages, including a one year fixed-rate product, available 2.99 per cent.
