Spokesperson for the organisation Craig Staniland made his comments after the firm published a report, which indicated that accidents occur more frequently on Fridays and Saturdays.
It also showed that one in ten drivers has had an accident on their way to or from a holiday.
Mr Staniland urged people to take every precaution to ensure that they are fully prepared for their holiday, since this can take a lot of pressure off of the trip and make it safer for everyone.
"The majority of accidents are down to driver error and often conditions when driving to and from a holiday make it all the more stressful for the driver," he explained.
Last month, Axa insurance revealed that – statistically – the house numbers most likely to be burgled are 86, 34 and 33, in ascending order.
