Confused.com research suggests Brits could do with a pensions calculator

A new study by Confused.com has suggested that many people find retirement savings to be one of the most confusing aspects of life, which suggests they may benefit from a pensions calculator.

Darren Black, a spokesperson from the comparison site, suggested that individuals these days live very hectic lives, which can make choosing between different products difficult.

Research by Confused.com showed that pensions are the most confusing financial products, with 83.9 per cent of people stating that they are perplexed by such arrangements.

"It's not surprising that financial products and terms account for so much confusion in modern life, especially given the changes that have taken place in the sector over the last couple of years," said Mr Black.

Last month, the firm defended energy company British Gas after it announced record profits, stating that the provider still offers the best standard tariff on the market and was the first to cut its rates earlier this year.
