Five serial celebrity daters

Being a celebrity can be hard - all that unwanted attention, 'journalists' lying on the pavement to try and get a shocking photo of you, fans expecting you to act in a certain way and being unreasonably angry or disappointed when you don't. Like Julia Roberts in Notting Hill, many stars probably find it difficult to settle down with anyone outside the celebrity bubble.

However, some famous people are more renowned for their dating habits than others, and seem to have made their way through a swathe of A-listers over the years.

After all, one of the consolations for the stresses of celebrity is your ready access to a wide range of extremely attractive people who will probably be willing to go out with you.

From suave playboys to femme fatales, some stars seem to adopt a revolving door policy when it comes to relationships, shuffling their deck with alarming regularity.

Here are some celebrities whose little black book must be thicker than Dan Brown's latest bestseller.

Ryan Gosling

Former Mouseketeer and thinking woman's pin-up Ryan Gosling has been attracting a great deal of female attention following starring roles in films such as Blue Valentine,
Drive and The Notebook. His combination of a sweetly befuddled air and rock-hard abs has generated a major fan-base among the ladies.

However, Gosling (even his name is a synonym for something cute!) has never been starved for female attention.

"If I have any particular appeal to women, maybe it's because I listen more than other guys do and I appreciate how they think and feel about things," he lied to OK Magazine, while undressing them with this dreamy eyes and flexing his chest muscles.

He's dated a serious pool of celebrities, including Eva Mendes, Rachel McAdams and Blake Lively. No doubt they all split up amicably, too, because Gosling does everything amicably.

Cameron Diaz

The American actress and former model is well-known by cinema audiences thanks to her high-profile performances in The Mask and There's Something About Mary.

While it seems unlikely Diaz would be stuck for a date even if she worked in a crepe van or combed dogs for a living, there's no doubt she has made extensive forays into the pool of celebrity men.

She has enjoyed romantic times with Mat Dillon, Justin Timberlake, Jared Leto and New York Yankees baseball star Alex Rodriguez - an impressive portfolio by anyone standards!

John Mayer

Oh, John Mayer. John Mayer would definitely be a serial dater even if he wasn't famous, albeit in a slightly lower league. He's the kind of guy that would whisk a girl upstairs at a house party so she can hear him play guitar, and perform Damien Rice's Cannonball very sensitively without once breaking eye contact, then play it again but with his shirt off.

Despite clearly being a terrible, terrible man, who's most famous song is called 'Your Body is a Wonderland', Mayer has gone out with a number of top Hollywood stars, including Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Simpson.

"That girl, for me, is a drug. And drugs aren't good for you if you do lots of them. Yeah, that girl is like crack cocaine to me... Sexually it was crazy. That's all I'll say. It was like napalm, sexual napalm," he too-much-informationed about former girlfriend Simpson in a Playboy interview.

Sienna Miller

English actress, model and fashion designer Sienna Miller is known for her occasional roles in films, her ability to never, ever even remotely consider the possibility having a real job, and her string of famous beaus.

In between the long periods of time she spends pretending to design jeans but actually just drawing tiny pictures of herself over and over again, Miller has found it easy to pick up many famous names, including Alfie co-star and fellow Brit Jude Law.

Taylor Swift

Cutesy county-pop singer-songwriter Taylor Swift has risen to prominence and inspired a million tearful teenage girl sing-alongs with her kiss-off songs to former partners.

Given that this is such a big part of her image, it's tempting to suggest that rather than a serial dater, Swift is a kind of Andy Kaufman-esque performance artist blurring the lines between reality and the mediated world of culture, an incisive critic of the excesses of celebrity and the prurience it inspires.

Or, well, maybe not, but she has racked up an impressive number of celebrity exes, including our old friend John Mayer, One Direction toy boy Harry Styles and Joe Jonas of god-bothering singing group the Jonas Brothers.ADNFCR-323-ID-801535014-ADNFCR
