Britannia ten-year fixed rate mortgage launched

Britannia has launched a new ten-year fixed rate mortgage, at a rate of 4.89 per cent.

After completing ten years on these terms, mortgage borrowers can then choose to remain with Britannia for the remainder of their repayment period, on a standard variable rate of 6.1 per cent.

The Britannia ten-year fixed rate mortgage also offers a number of additional benefits, such as no compulsory tied insurance.

Britannia comments: "The major benefit of a fixed mortgage rate is that it enables you to budget more easily knowing that your monthly repayments will not change."

The ten-year fixed rate mortgage also features a £100 administration fee, a £399 arrangement fee and a five per cent minimum deposit.

Britannia also offers a two-year fixed rate mortgage at 4.49 per cent, and a five-year deal at a rate of 4.39 per cent.
