Yorkshire fixed-rate mortgage launched

The new ten-year Yorkshire fixed-rate mortgage offers customers a rate of 4.69 per cent.

A maximum of 95 per cent loan to value is available and a fee of £495 is payable upon application.

Customers of the Yorkshire fixed-rate mortgage will also receive free insurance that protects against sickness, accident and unemployment for the first six months of the term.

Furthermore, interest is calculated daily, which means that borrowers will benefit immediately when they make a repayment.

David Heshon, mortgage development manager at Yorkshire Building Society, said the mortgage was "very attractive to anyone looking for long term security and value".

For those who do not wish to pay an application fee, the Yorkshire fixed-rate mortgage is also available as a fee-free version, for which the rate is 4.99 per cent.
