Britannia Fixed-Rate Mortgages 'a bargain'

London & Country (L&C), the UK's best-known no-fee mortgage holder, has urged customers to get their hands on bargain mortgage deals before they disappear.

It reveals that many providers have recently launched several new best buy-fixed rate mortgages.

Britannia's Two-Year and Three-Year Fixed-Rate Mortgage at 4.34 per cent and 4.49 per cent respectively are currently on offer.

Britannia's Five-Year and Ten-Year Mortgages are also available at 4.89 per cent and 4.99 per cent respectively.

Portman and Newcastle have also launched competitive mortgage deals at 4.30 per cent and 4.62 per cent respectively.

James Cotton, mortgage specialist at L&C, says: "It's an uncertain time at the moment in the mortgage market and recently rates have been moving in both directions.

"If you are looking to fix your mortgage and you find a great deal, assume it's not going to be around for long and grab it while you can."
