Scottish Life Managed Strategies Fund Matrix opened

Scottish Life, the pension specialist of the Royal London Group, has launched a new range of external fund links.

The Scottish Life Managed Strategies Fund Matrix has been introduced today and claims to offer a "fresh and innovative way of running a life office external fund range".

It has been designed to enable advisers to tailor the elements of specific pension options so that they cater more closely to the needs of individual clients.

A number of funds are included in the matrix, which Scottish Life claims have been chosen for their consistency in terms of their style and the levels of risk that they take, as well as their strong performance.

Among the new funds to be offered on the Scottish Life Managed Strategies Fund Matrix is an Artemis Income product, an Invesco Perpetual Income option and a JP Morgan US package.

"The introduction of the Managed Strategies Fund Matrix and the associated fund links emphasises Scottish Life's commitment to offering real pensions solutions," said Alasdair Buchanan, head of communications for Scottish Life.

"The concept demonstrates that we are not offering funds simply because they are currently 'hot'; they have been chosen because they have shown consistency of performance within specified sector and risk parameters."

Scottish Life is a subsidiary of the Royal London Group and is based in Edinburgh, where it employs 1,330 staff.
