Anniversary of Standard Life UK Equity High Income Fund celebrated

The Standard Life UK Equity High Income Fund has reached its 20th anniversary and an asset level of £276.6 million, the company has announced today.

Its UK Equity Growth funds have also reached this milestone and have a value of £208.3 million, according to Standard Life.

Both of the funds have produced "consistently strong" performances and have impressive fund management ratings, which reflect the investment styles that they adopt, Standard Life Investments states.

The aim of the Standard Life UK Equity High Income Fund is to offer investors the opportunity for capital growth above average income and the company reports that it has returned 86.9 per cent more than the sector average since launch.

It adds that investors who placed £1,000 in the UK Equity Growth Fund at the time of its launch would now have an investment worth £9,111.

"Both of these funds adhere strictly to our robust selection process which aims to identify improving situations which are not fully recognised by the market," said Jacqueline Kerr of Standard Life Investments.

Standard Life Investments has assets under management of £118.8 billion and controls 1.8 per cent of the UK stock market as calculated on December 31st 2005.
