Platform Self-Certification mortgages have been recognised at the annual Mortgage Strategy Awards, with the lender being acknowledged as the best provider of self-cert packages on the market.

The company was also nominated in other categories, including best sub-prime lender and best specialist lender at the London awards ceremony.

A number of mortgage intermediaries voted for Platform via the Mortgage Strategy website, adding the self-certification award to the lender's other accolades of best overall lender at the Mortgage Times awards and best product innovator at the Solent Mortgage Services awards.

"We are delighted to have won this award, which is a real credit to everyone associated with Platform," said Paul Hunt, Platform's head of marketing.

"This award reflects our commitment to offering competitive products for the self-certification sector, which will be supported by forthcoming developments to our online systems, which will include online application."
