FPIL Martin Currie GF Global Resources Fund among new offers

A new range of investment funds has been launched today by Friends Provident International, including the FPIL Martin Currie GF Global Resources Fund.

This new offer is not constrained by a benchmark and aims to provide capital growth by primarily investing in equities in the energy and basic materials sectors across the world.

A special Islamic option was also introduced, the FPIL HSBC Amanah Global Equity Index Fund, which will invest in a portfolio of equities in a manner consistent with the principles set out in the Islamic law of Shariah.

An Asia-Pacific Property Equities Fund was the third option to be introduced, which will invest at least 75 per cent of its assets in equities of companies or real estate investment trusts that are registered in the Asia-Pacific region.

Paul Quirk, managing director of FPI, said: "At FPI we are dedicated to offering our clients the best possible selection of investment opportunities.

"There has been a strong marketplace demand for these new funds which I am certain will prove a very worthwhile addition to our mirror fund range."

The FPIL Martin Currie GF Global Resources Fund and other offers will be added to the company's existing selection of specialist funds.
