Skipton mortgages "suit homebuyers' needs"

Skipton Building Society has announced that it will be introducing a further range of two, three and five-year fixed-rate mortgages from today.

Two-year fixed-rate mortgages are available at a competitive rate of 4.99 per cent, for a completion fee of £1,599.

Skipton three-year mortgages are also available from rates of 5.64 per cent, depending upon the completion fee.

The group's five-year fixed-rate mortgages are also available from 5.64 per cent, while loan-to-value rates are available from between 75 and 95 per cent.

Colin Dale, head of lending at Skipton, said the group's portfolio included "mortgages with a range of interest rates and fees to expand the options available to suit each homebuyer's needs".

He added: "For those whose priorities lie in keeping monthly repayments as low as possible, paying a higher completion fee in tandem with a lower rate will be the better choice."
