NatWest launches new e-statement service

NatWest customers will now be able to receive their monthly statements electronically thanks to the launch of a new e-statement service by the bank.

The service is designed to give online banking customers more choice as well as better control and flexibility when it comes to managing their finances.

Customers signed up to use online banking will be able to opt out of receiving paper-based statements and receive them through the online banking system instead.

David Gillespie, director of retail markets at the bank, said: "We believe the introduction of paperless statements means customers can keep tabs on their expenditure and their account balance with the minimum effort."

He commented that the e-statement service will also help consumers to cut down on the amount of paper they receive through the post.

Meanwhile NatWest has announced that it is lowering the rate of its standard variable rate mortgage by 0.25 per cent following the Bank of England's decision to cut base rates earlier this month.ADNFCR-323-ID-18409360-ADNFCR
