Nationwide government stakeholder campaign options

As the government is preparing to launch a new campaign that aims to promote the stakeholder initiative, Nationwide has announced it will be supporting it by offering four products in line with the plans.

The scheme is designed to provide consumers with access to more financial products and to promote a culture of saving among those on lower incomes.

Four Nationwide government stakeholder options are available to customers, which include an instant access cash ISA, a target return fund, a child trust fund and a stakeholder pension.

Clive Parkinson, managing directo at Nationwide Unit Trust Managers, said: "Nationwide has always aimed to provide consumers with products that combine good value and simplicity.

"We are pleased to see the government highlighting these simple products."

All Nationwide products mentioned meet the stakeholder standards.
