Advice Week launched by six organisations

People can access free and impartial financial advice this week from a coalition of six charities and aid organisations.
Citizens Advice, Age Concern, the Advice Services Alliance, Advice UK, the Law Centres Federation, and Youth Access have come together with financial assistance from the Big Lottery Fund to hold the week.
Outreach events are being held in places such as streets, courts, prisons and community and health centres.
They will help people deal with their concerns about matters such as debt, benefits, housing and unemployment.
According to an ICM poll taken in September, eight out of ten people are more worried about money than they were at this time last year.
The advice coalition found that the people who felt the greatest need for advice were those least likely to know that free advice is available and also on the lowest incomes.
Last month, Citizens Advice released a report about child poverty detailing the measures the government needs to take to reach its target of halving the figure by 2010 and ending it by 2020.
These included increasing the take-up of vital benefits and more help for school costs such as meals and uniforms.
