Around one-third of consumers 'unaware of benefits broadband bundles'

Almost one-third of British consumers are not fully aware of the benefits that taking out a broadband bundle could provide, it has been discovered.

A survey undertaken by BroadbandChoices.co.uk found that 30 per cent of British broadband users do not bundle their internet, TV and home phone services together, a move that could potentially save them a lot of money.

Of the 10,000 consumers who responded to the poll, 29 per cent said they did not know if a bundle would save them money, while 12 per cent said they offered no savings at all.

Product director of the website Michael Phillips said that the price of combined broadband services has been driven down as "major providers battle it out for market share and households subscribing separately for their three services could save £230 or more per year through taking out a bundled package".

Brits are paying £2.6 million each year for their broadband internet connections, according to statistics from uSwitch.com.
