New Alliance & Leicester Business Bank current account launched

The Alliance & Leicester Business Bank has launched a new current account which offers a fixed interest rate of six per cent APR on balances of up to £2,500 during the first year.

Business customers may be tempted into taking out the account, which is designed for firms with a turnover of up to £1 million and offers free cash deposits and day-to-day banking.

Small business owners can apply for the account at any Alliance & Leicester branch, but are urged to be swift as the account is only available for a limited amount of time.

"In the current economic climate, it is more important than ever that business owners review all costs including their banking arrangements in order to ensure that they are operating as efficiently as possible," said Ceri Henfrey, head of business banking at Alliance & Leicester.

The bank also launched a new business bond this week, which offers a fixed interest rate of 3.20 per cent gross per annum.
