Sainsburys Finance credit card 'geared towards travelling'

Consumers heading abroad soon may be attracted by a new Sainsburys Finance product, according to Confused.com.

Commenting on the unveiling of the Sainsburys Finance Gold Credit Card, head of credit cards at the price comparison site Chris Griffiths highlighted how several features of the account could be enticing for travellers.

He explained that there are no foreign exchange fees on purchases, as well as no charges for withdrawing cash overseas, which Mr Griffiths suggested could make it easier for people to manage their finances.

"It's good news for consumers who are planning to go away that another provider has launched a competitive card geared for travelling," the Confused.com representative was quoted as saying.

Mr Griffiths also noted that there is annual family travel insurance included with the account.

Last month, the website advised students not to be lured into opening a bank account by gimmicks and instead to focus on the important features of products.
