Skipton 50/50 FTSE Bond launched

Skipton Buidling Society has launched its 50/50 FTSE Bond in conjunction with Skipton Financial Services, its financial advice subsidiary.

The Skipton 50/50 FTSE Bond is a five-year deal, which offers a full capital guarantee and a rate of 5.65 per cent.

Customers who invest in the bond will see their money going into both a savings environment, as well as the stock market.

Jennifer Holloway, head of media relations at Skipton Building Society, said: "The recovery of the FTSE, and recent reports that stock market investments are currently out-performing property for returns, means we believe there will be a lot of interest in our new 50/50 FTSE Bond."

She went on to say that customers can feel "secure" that their investment is safe, due to the full capital guarantee.

"I'd urge customers to book an appointment with an adviser to discuss this investment further," Ms Holloway concluded.

The closing date for the product is March 16th.
