Royal Bank of Scotland Current Account holders don't open their mail

Millions of people are not opening their Royal Bank of Scotland Current Account statements each month, according to the banks own research released today.

Almost one in five Royal Bank of Scotland Current Account users neglect to check their bank statements and 23 per cent say that they do not do so on a regular basis.

Also demonstrated by the research was the fact that most people, 73 per cent, considered speaking directly to their branch as the most important aspect of their account and the ability to drop-in to a local branch was also thought to be important.

Allan Hardie, head of the Royal Bank of Scotland Current Account, commented: "The fast pace of modern life means that everyone needs a current account that will work hard for them."

The Royal Bank of Scotland Current Account includes accounts tailored to suit the needs of students and graduates and the more basic key account.
