Yorkshire Bond portfolio 'enhanced'

Yorkshire Building Society has enhanced its portfolio of savings bonds with the addition of new packages to its arm yesterday.

Alongside the group's one-year rollover bond, Yorkshire has unveiled two and three-year fixed-rate bonds with respective rates of 5.75 and 5.80 per cent.

Available to new and existing customers, the Yorkshire bonds can be opened with a deposit of just £100.

A monthly interest option is also available on the Yorkshire bond, providing a great deal of financial flexibility to customers.

Chris Smith, Yorkshire's product manager for savings, said that with many commentators mooting an interest rate fluctuation, consumers were seeking a package which provided "certainty" to their savings.

"This is particularly true for those who rely on their savings for income," he said, with Yorkshire bonds being a particularly beneficial tool in this area.

For more information on Yorkshire Bonds, consumers should contact the group by phone.
