Zurich launches two IHT trusts

The products offered by Zurich are designed to provide both intermediaries and their customers with greater ability to plan for IHT.
A discretionary trust gives intermediaries increased flexibility when compared to other trusts as it allows changes to be made at any time to beneficiaries as well as ensuring that the trust is exempt from the estate.
Zurich's investment management director Paul Wright said: "This new Discretionary trust has been designed to complement our existing range of trusts."
He added: "IHT is an increasingly important part of the financial planning process and we are delighted to be able to offer advisers and their customers a choice of market leading solutions."
The launch of the Zurich Sterling Discretionary Trust and Discretionary Trust follows the introduction of the Sterling Discretionary Discounted Gift Trust on October 3rd this year.
Both of the new trusts replace old products, with the Zurich Sterling Discretionary Trust designed to complement the Sterling investment bond and the Zurich Discretionary Trust implemented to be used alongside Zurich's protection plans.
