Bradford & Bingley postal account launched

A new Bradford & Bingley postal account has been introduced today, the bank has announced.

The My Time Postal Account offers a rate of 6.30 per cent gross per annum AER and a minimum deposit of £1,000 is required to open it.

Additionally, customers who would like interest to be credited on a monthly basis may choose the option of a 6.13 per cent gross rate.

A withdrawal of £250 can be carried out by either BACS to an indicated account or via a cheque.

Paul Whitlock, head of savings at Bradford & Bingley, commented: "The My Time Postal Accountis ideal for customers who are looking to earn an attractive rate on their money while retaining the flexibility offered by easy access."

He added that "customers can earn a great rate of interest while managing their money in a way that suits them".

Last month, Bradford & Bingley launched eSavings5, an internet-only savings account that pays 6.20 per cent per annum gross AER.
