Zurich capital account for green investors launched

Zurich has launched a new capital account - the Green Guaranteed Account - which offers access to potential stock market growth linked with the green business sector.

It offers 100 per cent of any growth in the RBS Green Index over five years and 100 per cent capital guaranteed.

The RBS index comprises the 30 largest global companies in the sector, included businesses which specialise in biotechnology, hydroelectricity, solar energy and wind energy.

Zurich's account is open for investment until July 21st 2008 and those who apply before June 23rd will receive a 0.33 per cent discount.

Paul Wright, Zurich's investment management director, said: "We believe that the Zurich Green Guaranteed Account is the ideal choice for those investors looking to protect their original capital and share in the potential stock market returns from the emerging green sector."

Earlier this month Zurich launched new individual fund manager fact sheets in collaboration with Citywire.
