FairFX offers 'best deal on dollars'

A foreign exchange firm has announced that it can offer consumers the best deal on dollars.

According to FairFX.com, those looking to travel to the US could get up to $65 (£32.65) for every £500 they exchange by using the company instead of waiting until they reach the airport to get their foreign currency.

Commenting on the offerings, Stephen Heath, chief executive of FairFX.com, said: "Anyone heading to the States in the near future should make sure they pack their FairFX.com currency card if they want to stretch their dollars as far as possible."

Many Brits may be considering travelling to US currently rather than the more traditional Mediterranean destinations due to the strong euro and the weak dollar, he added.

Mr Heath went on to say that for every pound, it is currently possible to get nearly $2, compared to just less than €1.25.

Figures released recently by Travelex.co.uk suggested that Britons are taking an average of around £200 more with them on holiday this year than in 2007 in order to avoid overspending on their credit card, the Aberdeen Press and Journal reports.ADNFCR-323-ID-18662036-ADNFCR
