Alliance & Leicester account in 'Recommend a Friend' bonus

Alliance & Leicester is giving consumers even more reasons to recommend one of its packages to a friend.

For the whole of July, existing Alliance & Leicester account holders will be given a £50 incentive to recommend a package to one of their friends, with the same amount also being given to the successful applicant.

New and existing Alliance & Leicester account holders will also be provided with a free mobile banking service through to the end of the year.

In order to take up one of the group's packages, customers need to be over 21 and be able to fund the minimum £500 within eight weeks of opening the account.

Andy Bayes, head of accounts at Alliance & Leicester, said the package "is a great way of rewarding our customers and showing our appreciation for choosing to bank with us".

He added: "This increase to our offer will last until the end of July and gives potential customers another reason to bank with us in addition to a market leading credit and debit interest rate which have won Moneyfacts awards for the last few years."
