Online account E-Saver can be opened by post or via the internet and is managed online thereafter.
It is a variable interest, easy access account without notice or loss of interest on withdrawals and requires a minimum investment of just £1.
The 90 day postal notice account must be opened by post and operated by post or online thereafter.
It gives a one per cent bonus for the first year, has a monthly interest option and offers the same interest rate on any balance from £1,000 upwards.
Each account has a rate of 6.3 per cent gross in the first year, with E-Saver going to a variable 4.75 per cent rate after that and the postal notice account taking on a variable rate of 5.3 per cent.
Available to new and existing N&P customers, the accounts must be opened with money transferred from outside N&P.
The Scotsman recently offered advice on savings accounts, pointing out that notice accounts generally pay higher interest but have harder access.
It reminded readers that tax is payable on savings accounts.
