Cancer cover adjustments made by BUPA Health Insurance

Benefit limits for out-patient cancer treatments have been removed on BUPA's cancer cover, it has been announced.

Annual monetary out-patient benefit limits for eligible treatments will no longer apply to the majority of BUPA's schemes.

Effective immediately, the change in policy comes from the company which is the only insurance provider to cancer patients that covers every stage of cancer treatment, according to the cancer information charity CancerBACUP.

All eligible charges for chemotherapy, chemotherapy drugs, radiotherapy and surgery are all covered by BUPA's policies.

Dr Paula Franklin, BUPA Health Insurance deputy medical director, commented: "This change is driven by our desire to continue to provide extensive cover for cancer patients and give them access to high quality cancer care."

BUPA sponsors a series of "Great Runs" held across the country each year, including the BUPA Great North run and the BUPA Capital 10k.
