Privilege Insurance offers new savings for homeowners

Car insurance customers of Privilege are guaranteed to make a saving of £50 if they choose to change their home insurance policy to one from Privilege Insurance, it has been announced.

Renewal quotes for combined building and contents cover will be beaten by £50 under the terms of the new offer - £25 will also be paid toward cancellation or switching policy fees.

The new offer has been prompted by research from Privilege which found that ten per cent of homeowners take up a home insurance policy for reasons of convenience through their mortgage provider.

Privilege has said it is "hoping that the £50 saving on offer will combat this inertia, particularly as existing car insurance customers will already have seen the benefits of making sure their cover is competitively priced."

A further saving of 25 per cent is offered by Privilege Insurance when customers take out a new home insurance policy online.
