Get right cover, says Go Travel Insurance

Holidaymakers have been urged by Go Travel Insurance to ensure that they are not only fully covered for their trip but also that they purchase their travel insurance from a company that is officially regulated.

The amount of cover that is being purchased needs to be checked, according to Go Travel Insurance, so that all eventualities are covered by the policy.

Also, the company has recommended that holidaymakers buy insurance from a company that is regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

"Travel agent staff are not always knowledgeable about the insurance they are selling," the firm stated.

The company has warned that some insurance companies exclude baggage coverage from their policies in a bid to keep the cost down and this is an area that should be explored by the customer before travelling.

Go Travel Insurance Annual Multi-Trip Travel is available to customers from £31.43 and the company also offers single trip, ski, golf, cruise and gap year travel insurance.
