Swiftcover offers 'competitive' motor insurance premiums

According to new research carried out by price comparison site moneysupermarket.com, its motor insurance packages consistently provided the most competitive deals in 2006.
According to the group, the average swiftcover.com insurance package quoted was £276.83, with a Quinn Direct package costing £489.83 on average.
Other packages which made it into the top ten most competitive deals included the Post Office, Zurich and Liverpool Victoria.
Richard Mason, managing director of insurance at moneysupermarket.com, said he was not surprised to see the "nimbler online insurers" offering the most consistently competitive premiums.
"It is encouraging however, that some of the big names such as Barclays and RAC are still committed to offering consistent good value, but they are not quite able to pip swiftcover.com to the top spot," he added.
