Both policies can be tailored to the individual needs of the traveller with a number of options, such as golf trip cover, wedding cover or winter sports cover.
In addition, both the annual and single trip policies come with £10million medical cover, £2,500 personal possessions cover, £500 for loss of money, £5,000 for cancellation and £250 delay cover, as well as personal accident cover and missed departure compensation.
Annual cover starts from £38.82 for Europe and £74.16 for worldwide, while single trip cover starts from £6.76 for a seven-day trip in the UK and £15.01 for Europe.
John O'Roarke, managing director of LV= General Insurance: "Holidaymakers spend thousands of pounds on foreign holidays, and by getting travel insurance they are protecting themselves should the trip need to be cancelled or if the unexpected happens overseas."
Yesterday the bank announced that it is removing "unfair" administration charges for its insurance customers.
